    Katherine McCabe

    President and CEO

    Katie McCabe serves as President and CEO of CAI. Ms. McCabe previously held the position of President and CEO of Beacon Intermodal Leasing until its successful merger with CAI in 2023. With a career spanning three decades in the global finance and transportation sectors, she brings a wealth of experience to the company. Prior to joining CAI’s parent, Mitsubishi HC Capital, in 2014, she was the Chief Investment Officer for BTMU Capital Corporation. There, she was responsible for managing the financing and investment activities in the container, aviation, rail, shipping and specialty finance industries. 

    Ms. McCabe started her career as an investment analyst for GE Capital Corporation. She earned both her B.S. and M.S. in Finance from Boston College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst in good standing. Ms. McCabe is a member of the CFA Institute, Boston College CEO Club, and the International Institute of Container Lessors.

    EVP, Chief Marketing Officer

    Daniel Hallahan has been the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer since January 2023. He previously served in the roles of of senior vice president of global marketing since February 2010, and before that vice president of marketing for Europe from July 1992 through January 2010.

    Prior to joining CAI, Mr. Hallahan served as the director of marketing for Amphibious Container Leasing for two years and for Itel Containers International Corporation for the prior 11 years, beginning in 1979.

    David Morris

    Chief Financial Officer

    David Morris serves as CAI's chief financial officer, having previously served as chief accounting officer from February 2021 to November 2021.  He joined CAI as vice president of finance and corporate controller in 2011. From 2008 to 2011 Mr. Morris served at Celera Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed healthcare company, as director of SEC reporting and then as senior director of finance.

    He was previously a senior audit manager at KPMG. Mr. Morris holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Bristol, U.K. and is a U.K. Chartered Accountant and a California-licensed Certified Public Accountant.

    Chief Investment Officer

    Greg Register serves as CAI’s Chief Investment Officer.  He joined Beacon Intermodal Leasing in 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in risk and finance positions in the global transportation and asset financing industry. He has been with MUFG Group companies since 2006, serving in risk management of transportation asset financings and later appointed as the Chief Risk Officer of its US corporate leasing business.

    Prior to joining MUFG, he was with GE’s equipment finance division in a management role overseeing treasury and capital markets and with GE’s corporate audit. Mr. Register holds a M.S. in Finance from University of Denver and is a CFA charter holder.

    Chief Technology Officer

    Matthew Easton is CAI's chief technology officer. He has served the company previously as vice president, information technology from August 2010 to February 2021, director of information technology from July 2005 to July 2010, and information technology manager from April 2000 to June 2005.

    Prior to joining CAI, he was an analysis manager for California major accounts at SBC Communications, Inc. He holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and an M.B.A. from Saint Mary's College of California.

  • Steven Garcia

    Steven Garcia

    Chief Legal Officer

    Steven Garcia is CAI's chief legal officer. He previously served as CAI's vice president, legal affairs. He worked in the information technology sector as senior regional counsel for International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE: IBM) from 2000 to 2012.

    He was 
previously in the petroleum industry as legal counsel in the litigation unit of Chevron Corporation (NYSE: CVX). Mr. Garcia has a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law.
